IKEBANA - the art of Japanese flower arrangements

Sticks'n'Sushi 58 Wimbledon Hill Road London SW19 7PA

Thursday, September 13 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm

In the art of Ikebana, every detail is thought of. From the vase and colours to the shape and overall expression.

On Thursday September 13th we invite you to join our Ikebana class hosted by Anne Campbell, a London based florist and Ikebana teacher taught in Tokyo.

Anne will, with her expertise and knowledge, show you how you can create your own Ikebana arrangements and tell you about the Japanese philosophy behind it and how Ikebana keeps the mind young.

For this class you are asked to bring a tall vase or a low container - for a low container, you'll also need a pin-cushion for your arrangement.

Anne will provide the flowers and branches, but if you have a pair of garden scissors please bring them along.

We will serve you tea and coffee, snacks and a delicious miso soup to enjoy in the restaurant or to take home as take away after the end of the class.
