Sake Brewer's Club is back to Yashin Ocean House in September!

Don't miss out on our exclusive Volume 6 Sake Brewer's Club!

Hosted in our bar, the concept is simple: to introduce authentic Japanese sake in a casual and sophisticated environment, to truly to make the guest feel as though they were in Japan. Ms Kitanishi from Bunraku and Ms Tanaka from Ume no Yado are coming to present their sakes at the event.

Bunraku
The Bunraku sake brewery dates back to 1894, when the founder Kitanishi moved east from Shiga and settled in Saitama, just north of Tokyo, and began using the crystal clear water flowing down from the mountains to produce sake. Throughout over a century of history, the Kitanishi family has striven to offer the highest quality sake to sake lovers by strictly maintaining ancient, traditional methods and continue defending the age-old techniques that have been passed down through generations of the Kitanishi family.

Ume no Yado
Umenoyado Brewery has been operating in Japan’s first permanent capital, Nara since 1893. With the motto “small quantity, high quality,” the team have been brewing “umakuchi” sake which can recall the history of Nara. Umenoyado is celebrating 125 anniversary this year. Yet, this is not so old brewery among others in Nara. Like a freshman, Ume no Yado are eager to challenge new things and brew sake to suit modern times yet respecting traditions.

Tickets are just £40 (+Eventbrite booking Fee) and include sake tasting and local Japanese nibbles from the region.
